- Bianco (Wh, WhFr, WhSw, WhFrSw): Any proportions of white grape varieties approved for the region of Sardegna
- Varietals (Wh, WhFr, WhSw, WhFrSw): Minimum 85% of any one of the allowed white grape varieties (Girò, Malvasia, Moscato, Nasco, Nuragus, Semidano, Vermentino, and Vernaccia are specifically excluded because they have their own DOCs) + OANWG
- Dual varietals (Wh, WhFr, WhSw, WhFrSw): 50–85% of first-named variety; 15–50% of other variety
ROSATO WINES
- Rosato (Ro, RoFr, RoSw, RoFrSw): Any proportions of red grape varieties approved for the region of Sardegna
- Varietals (Ro, RoFr, RoSw, RoFrSw): Minimum 85% of any one of the allowed red grape varieties (Cannonau, Carignano, and Monica are specifically excluded because they have their own DOCs) + OANRG
- Dual varietals (Ro, RoFr, RoSw, RoFrSw): 50–85% of first-named variety; 15–50% of other variety
RED WINES
- Rosso (Rd, RdFr, RdSw, RdFrSw): Any proportions of red grape varieties approved for the region of Sardegna

- Minimum alcohol level: 9.0% for Passito (16.0% potential); 10.0% for Bianco; 10.5% for Rosato and all frizzante wines; 11.0% for Rosso and Novello; 12.0% for da Uve Stramature (15.5% potential)
